Is it just me, or has anyone else seen a recurring theme of Obama's disregard for practically everything? From the will of the people, of the Constitution and towards any existing law which doesn't support a socialist agenda.
Thus far, in his short time at the helm, he has demonstrated his disregard of the will of the American people as it pertains to this administration's institution of socialized medicine. He has, for the most part, disregarded the advice of the Military's top command. Turned a deaf ear to opponents of comprehensive immigration reform in the hopes of turning 11 million illegals into DNC voters. He has stood in defiance of State's rights by his disregard of the rights of the people of Arizona. Furthermore, he has taken no heed to what top economists throughout the country have proposed to help lift the economy out of recession, but has steadfastly continued with his failed bailout policies.
Case in point, a bit of telling evidence that supports the lack of regard of this administration is some of the wording in the new health care law. Sec. 5210 of the new health care law amends Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act to establish a Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency. It goes on to stipulate that this Corps will consist of,
"citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and be compensated without regard to the Classification Act of 1923".
These officers, in the case of the Ready Reserve Corps, will be appointed by the president solely without oversight by Congress. They will be appointed 'without regard" to existing laws in the areas of civil-service and the Classification Act of 1923.
So, once again this president is given free rein to appoint, by law, any individual he sees fit to command a "private army" without regard to the will of the people or Congress. This administration, in one fell swoop, has effectively through this language contained in the health care law, made it possible to circumvent any existing law by simply inserting "without regard" to any law standing in their way.
At this rate, it is just a matter of time before his expertise in Constitutional law leads him and his progressive followers to propose a new amendment to our Constitution. Of course the progressives next proposed amendment would have to be the 30th amendment. There are a few of the "intellectual morons" from the George Bernard Shaw and Margaret Sanger camp who already have the 29th on the table.
The following could possibly be a rough draft of the proposal and something that, no doubt, progressives from both sides of the aisle should have no problem in adopting.
"The Congress shall establish and grant to the Executive Branch unmitigated authority to institute any policy or law in which the aforementioned Branch deems to be in the best interest of the People of the United States without regard for their voices. This determination shall be made without regard to the Constitution of the United States of America, any existing law or prior amendments to the Constitution. Furthermore, the Executive Branch shall enact, without regard to Congress, the People or the sovereignty of this Nation, any law or policy that would enable any and all other nations of the Global Community to share in the resources and balance of power of the United States of America".
Perhaps historians might consider chronicling his presidency as," Without Regard: The Obama and Soros Years".
